Description

Registration is now open to join FHWA instructors for a train the trainer opportunity on two EDC-5 innovations. One day will be spent on materials for Reducing Rural Roadway Departures and another day on Safe Transportation for Every Pedestrian (STEP)

FoRRRwD Train-the-Trainer: Combating Rural Roadway Departures (RwD) and Rural RwD Systemic Workshop

Because severe RwD crashes are widely dispersed across the rural road network, the systemic approach is critical to implementing RwD countermeasures. The FHWA will provide course materials and instruct trainers in both these key topics of the Focus on Reducing Rural Roadway Departures (FoRRRwD) – the RwD countermeasures, and how to use crash and roadway data to determine where to apply them using systemic safety analysis.
