About the research
The researchers will identify and evaluate the most appropriate performance measures for snow and ice control operations. A snow and ice control performance measure is a specific metric that can be measured and expressed in a specific unit, such as the coefficient of friction or millimeters. The focus of this research is to determine whether these specific measures can reasonably serve as a representative measurement that can be translated into (or serve as a surrogate for) an agency?s snow and ice control operational performance or effectiveness.
